Is Obama a socialist? What does it mean for our Country?

After almost one year of Obama as our Commander in Chief there is beginning to be a lot of accusations about Obama that honestly have no facts to back them up. Some of the things that I have heard consist of: “Obama wasn’t even born in the US” and,” Obama is the Antichrist.” But the truth is, those aren’t true! But how about this one ,” Obama is a socialist.” Some may say that this comment falls right in line with the ones above and that is false. Some may say that it a ridiculous comment. Some may say it is just another way to smear Obama. The rest of this article is going to be only the facts and Obama’s words. I am going to try to keep any biased opinions out of this post.

During the heat of the 2008 Presidential Campaign Obama was asked about his stance on a issue. Instead of giving a direct answer he said, “ Judge me by the people I surround myself with.” Okay Mr. President we will do just that! The first person that we are going to look at is former Green Jobs Czar, Van Jones. During a speech to college students Van Jones said this, “ our Native American brothers and sisters who were shoved into all the land that we didn’t want, Guess what? Give them the wealth! Give them then wealth! No justice on stolen land … we owe them a debt” OK so there is one person that Obama surrounds himself with, and he ended up being a supporter of socialism. But we have to be fair here. Lets look at some other people Obama “surrounds” himself with.

Lets take a look at Anita Dunn. Anita is the Former White House Communication’s Director. During a speech to high school students Anita said ,”the two people I admire most is Mother Teresa and Chairman Mao” IN order to fully comprehend what this quote means, we need to understand who Chairman Mao was. Mao took office in 1943. He killed a total of 70 million people while he was in office. That is more than Hitler,Stalin, and Hussein had killed…COMBINED! Now not only did he commit mass genocide, he only had one way of thinking when it came to Economics. Socialism.

Okay so now that we have seen some of the people that Obama surrounds himself with and what they support, lets look at Obama’s words. During Obama’s campaign he made a stop in a small town in Ohio. While he was there, a man by the name of Joe Wurzelbacher was in his lawn playing football with his son, and he noticed Obama taking questions. He explained that by working hard (10-12 hours a day) he was in a position to buy a business. If he bought a truck and expanded the business, he wondered if his success would be greeted by a penalty in the form of higher taxes.

Obama answered,” It’s not that I want to punish your success, I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too. My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”Spread the wealth around. That means take from the evil bad guys with all the money, and taking the money of those who worked their whole life to earn, and give it to the guys on the couch with a six pack of beer and a half empty bag of potato chips!

On July 4th, 1776 a group of 56 men got together and wrote a document that would change the world. A document that was based on God, honesty, justice, liberty and most of all hard work. Our country was founded with men in a suit and tie. People in our country worked to get what they had. They got their hands dirty, worked all day and night, and worked their way to success. When our country was founded there wasn’t talk of socialism or capitalism! They knew that in order to reap a harvest they had to be out there tilling the ground, planting seeds, and watering the ground so that when harvest comes they will have a full crop.

When our country was founded there was no such thing as Socialism. In fact there was no such thing as capitalism! The only thing they knew is what every human being knows: What one earns is what one keeps. For two hundred years our country has worked and thrived under this system, why in the world would we try to change the system now?

Based on who Obama surrounds himself with and based on what he has said, I think it is safe to say that yes, Obama is a socialist. And yes Obama wants to Steal from the rich and give to the lazy..oops, I mean poor. Obama has made history in many ways by becoming president, but if he accomplishes everything on his hidden agenda of socialism, history will not only be made, it will be changed. We wont be the strongest nation anymore that our history books paint a picture of. We will be the country that doesn’t have any motivation to work hard, because the government will give us everything we need. We wont be who our founding fathers meant for us to be.

Was America Founded on Christian Principles?

In the Twenty-first century, the Christian principles that our nation was founded upon are all but forgotten by the majority of humanity. We live in a day and age where the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed in public, where the first amendment has been misinterpreted by the Supreme Court to mean a “wall of separation” between church and state, and public prayers in schools are not allowed. Intellectual leaders in academia and the political realm deny that our country has any Christian heritage whatsoever. Today I want to provide you with substantial evidence with which to thwart the outrageous claims made by those who doubt our country’s Godly heritage. America was indeed founded on Christian principles, and today will show you several quotes from men who played significant roles in the early stages of America’s development that make it hard to believe otherwise.

Thomas Jefferson, a very influential founder and our nation’s third President, was a staunch supporter of religious freedom. In a letter to the Dansbury Baptists, he calls the First Amendment: “A wall of separation between church and State”. Many allude to Thomas Jefferson’s misleading metaphor, using it to justify the removing of public displays of Christianity, and then they themselves incorrectly describe the First Amendment as such. In actuality, the first amendment was created in order to restrict the Federal government from favoring one sect of Christianity over another, as well as to allow citizens of any religion to display it in public.

The Declaration of Independence contains public expression of devotion to the Christian God when it uses phrases like these:

“Nature’s God” (i.e., an 18th century way to refer to the God Who created nature), “all men are created equal” and “endowed by their Creator,” “appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world,” and “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence” (The Declaration…)

The Federal Constitution:

George Mason, the “Father of the Bill of Rights” proposed the following as the text for the first Amendment:

[A]ll men have an equal, natural and unalienable right to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that no particular sect or society of Christians ought to be favored or established by law in preference to others (Rowland, 1892, 1:244, emp. added).

America was considered a Christian nation for nearly two centuries. The above was suggested as text for the First Amendment because the founders wanted to ensure that no particular sect of Christianity was elevated above the others, as well as to make it certain that the Federal government did not adopt a State religion. Since the early 20th Century, radical socialistic organizations like the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) have been trying (and largely succeeding) to erase Christianity from the public arena. In 2003, at the same time that a  Federal Judge told the Chief Justice of the Alabama State Supreme Court that a public display of the Ten Commandments had to be taken down, California unveiled in Sacramento, at the California Veterans Memorial that reads: “In Honor of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Veterans Killed in Action” (Sanders, 2003)

This kind of thing exposes the true liberal agenda. The fact is that America was originally intended to be a Christian nation. The ACLU has been attacking the Christian faith for ninety years, wrongly asserting that the public display of  religion is what The First Amendment was made to repel. However, quite the opposite is true. The First Amendment was made in order to allow every citizen to practice his religion of choice freely in private or public without any opposition by the Federal government. One must look no further than the delegate discussions pertaining to the First amendment (Annals of Congress, 1789), to see that pluralization of America’s culture was not the objective.

As further proof that America was founded on Christian principles, the Federal constitution contains a direct reference to Jesus Christ! Read the following excerpt from Article 1 section 7 to see what I am referring to:
“If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it….”

Sunday is the day of the week when Christians traditionally meet together in congregations across the globe and worship God. If the founders wanted to show pluratism, they wouldn’t have picked Sunday. If they wanted to acknowledge Jewish custom, they would have picked Saturday. But they picked Sunday, yet another example of early Americans showing devotion towards their Creator in a public and political place.

Immediately after Article 7, the Constitution closes with these words:

Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth….

Christianity dates human history in terms of the birth of Christ. B.C stands for “Before Christ”, and A.D. is the abbreviation for the Latin words “anno Domini,” meaning “year of our Lord.”

There is no doubt that America was founded on Christianity. However, this does mean that citizens of other nations cannot live in America and enjoy the same freedom as the rest of us do.

On March 4, 1921, right after the close of World War I, Warren G. Harding delivered his inaugural speech:

One cannot stand in this presence and be unmindful of the tremendous responsibility. The world upheaval has added heavily to our tasks. But with the realization comes the surge of high resolve, and there is reassurance in belief in the God-given destiny of our Republic. If I felt that there is to be sole responsibility in the Executive for the America of tomorrow I should shrink from the burden. But here are a hundred millions, with common concern and shared responsibility, answerable to God and country. The Republic summons them to their duty, and I invite co-operation. I accept my part with single-mindedness of purpose and humility of spirit, and implore the favor and guidance of God in His Heaven. With these I am unafraid, and confidently face the future. I have taken the solemn oath of office on that passage of Holy Writ wherein it is asked: “What doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” [Micah 6:8—DM]. This I plight to God and country (1921, emp. added)

Don’t let these liberals tell you that America is a religiously neutral country, and that you cannot exercise your freedom of religion in the public realm. America was set up so that everyone would have that freedom.

Population Control

Life Expectancy in the United States, 1900-200...

Thursday night I read an article that a friend of mine has posted to the forums, where he talked about the subject of population control, and I decided to write my own feelings about the matter.

Proponents of population control have been telling us for several decades now that there are too many people in the world. The UN pushes for its members to practice population control, which usually includes abortion, euthanasia, and contraceptives. For example, in China you are only allowed to have one child, and in some cases two. And you have to pay for the right to have even one child. Many advocates of population control have been pushing for the United States to reduce our population by similar methods. Take, for example, this exerpt from James Coleman and Donald Cressey’s Social Problems, one of the standard social science textbooks from the nineties:
The world’s population is exploding. The number of men, women and children is now over 5 billion. … If the current rate of growth continues, the world’s population will double again in the next 40 years…the dangers of runaway population growth can be seen in historical perspective… It took all of human history until 1800 for the world’s population to reach 1 billion people. But the next … 1 billion was added in only 130 years (1800-1930), [the next billion] after that in 30 years (1930-1960), and the next in 15 years (1960-1975). The last billion people were added in only 12 years (1975-1987). If this trend (of runaway population growth) continues the world will be soon be adding a billion people a year, and eventually every month. [Italics added]

The proponents of population control argue that the world’s population has been doubling so fast because people were breeding like rabbits, when in reality, it was due to life expectancy increasing dramatically. During the period of time covered in the passage above, the fertility rate has been decreasing. consider this excerpt from the Population Research Institute, in an article titled: The White Pestilence:

Like other Baby Boomers, I lived through the unprecedented doubling of the global population in the second half of the 20th century. Never before in human history had our numbers increased so far, so fast: from 3 billion in 1960 to 6 billion in 2000. But Ehrlich and Company, I came to see, glossed over the underlying reason: Our numbers didn’t double because we suddenly started breeding like rabbits. They doubled because we stopped dying like flies. Fertility was falling throughout this period, from an average of 6 children per woman in 1960 to only 2.6 by 2002.

Speaking of the life expectancy rate going up drastically, have you heard of the pesticide called DDT? DDT is a pesticide used to fight back against malaria and other insect borne diseases. In 1970 the National Academy of Sciences, in their book Life Sciences, stated that,

In little more than two decades DDT has prevented 500 million deaths due to malaria.”

After DDT was proven to be the most harmless pesticide known to man, the UN pushed for the banning of DDT, and was successful. The UN is a big supporter of population control , so this doesn’t come as a suprise to me. It is sobering to see world powers use their power to ban the use of a substance that has saved millions of lives in the past, all because they think there are too many people in the world.

So back to the dropping fertility rate. Those who push population control argue that we are going to see a population explosion in the next few decades, however, for several decades now, the fertility rate has been dropping immensely.

So why the sudden drop in fertility rate? I think that it is due to the fall of the traditional family. Throughout the world, the number of people who abstain from sexual activity until marriage, as well as the number of people who remain faithful to their spouse, are getting fewer and fewer. And there are many people who would rather stay single, and don’t ever give a thought to having children. I am sure there are many other factors that weigh into this, but this is a big one for sure. Of course population control has played a role as well. Countries that practice population control by putting a limit on the amount of kids that you can have, for example China, have a dangerously low fertility rate.

Because of this, the world’s population is near it’s apex. After that, it will start to fall. That’s right, rather than seeing a population explosion in the next few decades, we are going to see a population implosion. The world’s population is expected to reach it’s apogee in 2040. If current trends in fertility rates continue, then the world’s population at that time is estimated to be around 7.6 billion. After that, it is expected to start falling, reaching 5 billion by the turn of the century.

Population control is evil, and also completely unnecessary. Advocates of population control promise that “cutting out the cancer” will ensure prosperity for the majority at the sacrifice of the minority. Sounds a lot like communism to me. Also, population control will cause problems worldwide that are unimaginable. I will end with yet another excerpt from the Population Research Institute’s article: The White Pestilence:

By 2004, the U.N. Population Division (UNDP) found that 65 countries, including 22 in the less developed world, had fertility rates that were below the level needed to ensure the long-term survival of the population. Most of the rest, the agency warned, were likely to enter this danger zone over the next few decades. According to the agency’s “low-variant” projection, historically the most accurate, by 2050 three out of every four countries in the less developed regions will be experiencing the same kind of below-replacement fertility that is hollowing out the populations of developed countries today. Such stark drops in fertility, cautioned the UNPD, will result in a rapid aging of the populations of developed and developing countries alike. With the number of people over 65 slated to explode from 475 million in 2000 to 1.46 billion in 2050, existing social security systems will be threatened with collapse. It will prove difficult, if not impossible, to establish new ones.

Population control is a scheme concocted by globalist politicians who don’t push it in order to save the planet, but to gain power and money, no matter what means they have to use to achieve it.

Obama Care Propaganda: Part 1

This is the first post in a series of posts I am writing regarding the propaganda surrounding Obama Care. This series is designed to seperate fact from fiction in regards to Obama Care. For those of you who oppose health care reform, I hope this seriest will arm you with the facts to oppose the propaganda coming from Washington and the Media. For you readers who support Obama Care, I hope that after reading this you will understand that Obama Care will not improve our health care, instead it will only cripple it further.

Those who support health care reform will try to tell you that our health care is in dire need of reform, and that Obama Care will better it. This is simply untrue. Sure our health care system isn’t perfect, but when it comes to emergency care and specialized treatment, our health care out performs others where health care is regulated and rationed out to the people by government. Although they won’t admit it, Obama Care will do just that. The public option presented in Obama Care,(by the way, Obama will not take this out of health care reform, no matter what he says on TV) is a government regulated alternative to private insurance that become the main source of health care for Americans if the American Affordable Health Choices Act assumes full implementation in 2011.

Another frightning aspect of Obama Care is the massive spending involved. Ever since Obama got elected, the administration has been spending us into oblivion. Earlier this year, Congress passed the Economic Recovery Act of 2009, which cost a total of $800 billion. If passed, Obama Care will cost over $1 trillion!  One day we will pay for all of the spending in Washington. It is critically important to our nation that we stop this massive spending. Already Washington has buried our country in debt that will take years of effort by we the people to get out of.

It is very disappointing to know that so many Americans either don’t know or don’t care about the poor decisions that politicians make these days. If more Americans cared about the welfare of their country, these idiots would not have ever been elected. It is our job to educate ourselves of the world around us, and to speack out in defence of our beliefs. This current crisis has arisen from our lack of ability to stand up and fight for what we believe in. Let’s take back our country.
