In the Twenty-first century, the Christian principles that our nation was founded upon are all but forgotten by the majority of humanity. We live in a day and age where the Ten Commandments cannot be displayed in public, where the first amendment has been misinterpreted by the Supreme Court to mean a “wall of separation” between church and state, and public prayers in schools are not allowed. Intellectual leaders in academia and the political realm deny that our country has any Christian heritage whatsoever. Today I want to provide you with substantial evidence with which to thwart the outrageous claims made by those who doubt our country’s Godly heritage. America was indeed founded on Christian principles, and today will show you several quotes from men who played significant roles in the early stages of America’s development that make it hard to believe otherwise.

Thomas Jefferson, a very influential founder and our nation’s third President, was a staunch supporter of religious freedom. In a letter to the Dansbury Baptists, he calls the First Amendment: “A wall of separation between church and State”. Many allude to Thomas Jefferson’s misleading metaphor, using it to justify the removing of public displays of Christianity, and then they themselves incorrectly describe the First Amendment as such. In actuality, the first amendment was created in order to restrict the Federal government from favoring one sect of Christianity over another, as well as to allow citizens of any religion to display it in public.

The Declaration of Independence contains public expression of devotion to the Christian God when it uses phrases like these:

“Nature’s God” (i.e., an 18th century way to refer to the God Who created nature), “all men are created equal” and “endowed by their Creator,” “appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world,” and “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence” (The Declaration…)

The Federal Constitution:

George Mason, the “Father of the Bill of Rights” proposed the following as the text for the first Amendment:

[A]ll men have an equal, natural and unalienable right to the free exercise of religion, according to the dictates of conscience; and that no particular sect or society of Christians ought to be favored or established by law in preference to others (Rowland, 1892, 1:244, emp. added).

America was considered a Christian nation for nearly two centuries. The above was suggested as text for the First Amendment because the founders wanted to ensure that no particular sect of Christianity was elevated above the others, as well as to make it certain that the Federal government did not adopt a State religion. Since the early 20th Century, radical socialistic organizations like the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) have been trying (and largely succeeding) to erase Christianity from the public arena. In 2003, at the same time that a Federal Judge told the Chief Justice of the Alabama State Supreme Court that a public display of the Ten Commandments had to be taken down, California unveiled in Sacramento, at the California Veterans Memorial that reads: “In Honor of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Veterans Killed in Action” (Sanders, 2003)

This kind of thing exposes the true liberal agenda. The fact is that America was originally intended to be a Christian nation. The ACLU has been attacking the Christian faith for ninety years, wrongly asserting that the public display of religion is what The First Amendment was made to repel. However, quite the opposite is true. The First Amendment was made in order to allow every citizen to practice his religion of choice freely in private or public without any opposition by the Federal government. One must look no further than the delegate discussions pertaining to the First amendment (Annals of Congress, 1789), to see that pluralization of America’s culture was not the objective.

As further proof that America was founded on Christian principles, the Federal constitution contains a direct reference to Jesus Christ! Read the following excerpt from Article 1 section 7 to see what I am referring to:
“If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it….”

Sunday is the day of the week when Christians traditionally meet together in congregations across the globe and worship God. If the founders wanted to show pluratism, they wouldn’t have picked Sunday. If they wanted to acknowledge Jewish custom, they would have picked Saturday. But they picked Sunday, yet another example of early Americans showing devotion towards their Creator in a public and political place.

Immediately after Article 7, the Constitution closes with these words:

Done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth….

Christianity dates human history in terms of the birth of Christ. B.C stands for “Before Christ”, and A.D. is the abbreviation for the Latin words “anno Domini,” meaning “year of our Lord.”

There is no doubt that America was founded on Christianity. However, this does mean that citizens of other nations cannot live in America and enjoy the same freedom as the rest of us do.

On March 4, 1921, right after the close of World War I, Warren G. Harding delivered his inaugural speech:

One cannot stand in this presence and be unmindful of the tremendous responsibility. The world upheaval has added heavily to our tasks. But with the realization comes the surge of high resolve, and there is reassurance in belief in the God-given destiny of our Republic. If I felt that there is to be sole responsibility in the Executive for the America of tomorrow I should shrink from the burden. But here are a hundred millions, with common concern and shared responsibility, answerable to God and country. The Republic summons them to their duty, and I invite co-operation. I accept my part with single-mindedness of purpose and humility of spirit, and implore the favor and guidance of God in His Heaven. With these I am unafraid, and confidently face the future. I have taken the solemn oath of office on that passage of Holy Writ wherein it is asked: “What doth the Lord require of thee but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” [Micah 6:8—DM]. This I plight to God and country (1921, emp. added)

Don’t let these liberals tell you that America is a religiously neutral country, and that you cannot exercise your freedom of religion in the public realm. America was set up so that everyone would have that freedom.

As more and more Americans rally against health care reform as proposed by the Obama administration, those who support it are getting more and more desperate. Earlier this week, David Axelrod, Senior Adviser to the President, sent an e-mail off to several Americans in an attempt to counter the “lies and distortions” that we who care about our country have spread regarding Obama care. In the e-mail, Axelrod stated the following:

” At the end of my email, you’ll find a lot of information about health insurance reform, distilled into 8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, 8 common myths about reform and 8 reasons we need health insurance reform now.”

Here is the list he is referring to:

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage

1. Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
2. Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
3. Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
4. Ends Dropping of Coverage for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
5. Ends Gender Discrimination: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
6. Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
7. Extends Coverage for Young Adults: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
8. Guarantees Insurance Renewal: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won’t be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

8 common myths about health insurance reform

1. Reform will stop “rationing” – not increase it: It’s a myth that reform will mean a “government takeover” of health care or lead to “rationing.” To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies.
2. We can’t afford reform: It’s the status quo we can’t afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.
3. Reform would encourage “euthanasia”: It does not. It’s a malicious myth that reform would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform will help to cover these voluntary, private consultations for those who want help with these personal and difficult family decisions.
4. Vets’ health care is safe and sound: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will affect veterans’ access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President’s budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans.
5. Reform will benefit small business – not burden it: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average.
6. Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare “doughnut” hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.

7. You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.
8. No, government will not do anything with your bank account: It is an absurd myth that government will be in charge of your bank accounts. Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose. Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

8 Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform Now

1. Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/denied_coverage/index.html
2. Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job. Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hiddencosts/index.html
3. Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html
4. Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes
5. Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline
6. The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction
7. Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people – one in every three Americans under the age of 65 – were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html
8. The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance – projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform.

It is sad that America has gone so far down the road of statism that our President and many of our Congressional leaders are attempting to pass a bill that will nationalize our health care. This is yet another step towards socialism! The bill, H.R. 3200, will cost over $1 trillion. H.R. 3200 is even more costly than the economic stimulus bill passed earlier this year! Those of you who think that the stimulus bill was a good idea, don’t you think that we might be spending just a tad too much? Our national debt has climbed to 11 trillion, and the liberals in Congress haven’t done anything to stop it’s climb. Instead they spend their time and energy passing bills that take away power from the people and give it to the government, and spend so much money that we can’t hope to pay it off any time soon. It is our duty as Americans to make sure that they do not pass this bill. Winston Churchill was one of the great politicians of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Churchill once said that whoever does not learn from history is destined to repeat it. Throughout history, it ha been made clear that printing massive amounts of money to throw at all your problems temporarily solves problems, but in the end causes runaway inflation. But the money being spent is not the most troubling aspect of this new bill. Everything about this new health care system would be regulated by the government. Government would also cut funding for Medicare and mandate “end life” counseling. This health care system would depend on a rationing mechanism, and this rationing would begin with the elderly. No one should have the right to take away your right to life, even if you don’t have much longer to live. This bill is loaded with dangerous and unconstitutional items. Among these are included Government restriction of the enrollment of special needs people in Nationalized health care, as well as the exemption of individual taxes, purchasing mandates, and fines for non resident aliens, that are required of every legal, U.S. citizen. This is simply outrageous.
A recent Rasmussen poll found that the majority of Americans oppose Obama’s plan for government-run health care. Yet these liberals continue to try to shove it down our throats. Certain Republicans who have the guts to fight back against this madness have proposed 31 amendments to H.R. 3200, all of which the Democrats have opposed. One would have allowed states to opt out, another would have prevented taxpayer-funded health benefits from going to illegal immigrants, yet another would have prevented bureaucrats from making personal medical decisions for patients. The list goes on and on. The fact that Democrats said no to all of these amendments makes their purpose clear: To take away more of our individual freedoms, and give it to themselves. We as Americans must stop these bureaucrats from bringing this bill into effect. The consequences of anything less are dire. If your Senators and Representative have not announced plans to vote against this bill, please call or e-mail them and beg them to oppose it.

Progressives come up with the most tricky schemes to advance their agenda. The current media hype over Global Warming is a prime example of one of these schemes. So many people have been deluded into thinking that Global Warming is a real problem, and that mankind needs to take action to stop it. So much time and money is spent to try and convince American citizens, as well as citizens from other countries of the truth of Global Warming. The economic “stimulus” bill that our Congress and Presidential Administration passed earlier this year included tons of money for the production of “green” cars and “green” facilities, among other things, in order to slow global warming. Al Gore, our 45th Vice President, starred in the 2006 documentary: An Inconvenient Truth, which was used to scare more people into believing that the earth is experiencing global warming and allowing the liberals to spend more money and take away more of our freedoms all in the name of fighting Global Warming. It is sad to see that more and more people are jumping on the global warming bandwagon. Corrupted politicians use global warming to push their political agenda. Most of these politicians are progressives who use popular belief in global warming to gather money and support for their twisted politics. I hope that this article helps you to see that global warming is nothing but progressive propaganda.
Carbon Dioxide is an important part of the Earth’s atmosphere, without it, plants could not photosynthesize and instead would starve. Of course mankind could not survive without trees, because the oxygen content in the air we breathe would slowly decrease to zero. Carbon dioxide is also one of the greenhouse gasses, which means that it contributes to a process known as the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is the process by which certain gases (principally water vapor, carbon dioxide, and methane) trap heat that radiates from earth. In other words, of all the energy that comes from the sun in the form of light, some of this energy is radiated from the earth, back into space in the form of infrared light. Greenhouse gases trap some of this infared light, and uses it to heat up the atmosphere.
Since the industrial revolution in the 1800’s, the concentration of Carbon Dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere has increased enormously. Many assume that since man has pumped so much more Carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere, the greenhouse effect must trap more heat, and in so doing, raise the average global temperature of the earth. This is simply not true. As man has pumped more and more Carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, the temperature has stayed virtually the same. Also, although man has pumped so much Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere, 97% of the Carbon Dioxide content in the atmosphere is produced by natural cause. The 3% that man has placed in the atmosphere is just not enough to cause global warming.

Al Gore is one of the many Statists who have profited hugely by spreading global warming propaganda. The more people believe in global warming, the more money they will be glad to give to global warming advocates like Al Gore. The consequences of this propaganda reach further than the personal gain of corrupted politicians. I have already mentioned that the economic stimulus bill contained millions of dollars for the production of “green” cars and facilities. It is disappointing that so many Americans have fallen for this trick.

P.S. Did you know that many of the people who say that global warming is happening now were the same people who were freaking out about global cooling in the 70′s? ‘Calvin Lyman
