The secularization of our public school systems has had dire effects on educational quality. It just comes to show that when the government gets involved with something, it fails. It is my personal opinion that school systems should be governed by local and state governments, rather than by the Federal government. Everything has been going down hill for our education system ever since Jimmy Carter created the Department of Education in 1980, giving public education over to the federal government. Good Work!
